I was planning to write about this bar a long time ago, but for some reason, I totally forgot about it. ‘Pod Muhoy’ is a really cool bar on Strastnoy bulvar 6 near Chekhovskaya metro station (Страстной бульвар 6 стр.2), right in the center of Moscow. It’s marketed as a Booze and Noodles Bar, and that is exactly what they have on the menu: lots of cocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and noodles, simple, easy – great Unique selling point in my opinion.

I used to love it when restaurants and cafes had a variety of dishes on their menus, so that I could choose the best out of them all. But unfortunately a vast list of culinary options also meant that I would be taking ages to pick something out. So nowadays I prefer a limited menu. If today I decide that I want noodles and a cocktail, I would prefer a venue that specializes in that exact thing. I don’t want any other distracting options. Besides, when a place specializes only in one thing, I believe, they should be doing it quite well.

Pod Muhoy was recommended to us by our British friend who probably knows Moscow even better than we do :)
Grungy design and a sort of hipster atmosphere together with nice and simple food make it a great place to hang out with friends after work.
